Racing toward change: OnTrack’s journey shared at IASP World Congress

June 16, 2025

OnTrack CEO Victoria McArthur had the privilege of presenting the OnTrack journey at the International Association for Suicide Prevention 33rd World Congress in Vienna.

The 33rd World Congress for the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) in Vienna 2025 brought together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and advocates from around the globe to share knowledge, exchange best practices, and collaborate on strategies to address this pressing public health issue. The goal is to foster an inclusive, multidisciplinary dialogue that advances understanding, prevention, and intervention strategies for suicide and suicidal behaviours.

Presenting the OnTrack journey from research to implementation as part of the Suicide and the Workplace, Special Interest Group, Victoria highlighted how the New Zealand racing industry has come together to create something incredibly impactful, co-designed with the people who live and breathe racing every day.

“It was very inspiring to be surrounded by some of the world’s leading minds in suicide prevention. The level of interest in OnTrack’s journey was both affirming and energising, and a reminder of what’s possible when we stay grounded in purpose and act together.” said Victoria.

“Huge thanks to Sally Spencer-Thomas and Jorgen Gullestrup for your leadership in workplace suicide prevention. You continue to set the bar.”
