Just two days of your time could help save lives in racing.
At OnTrack, we’re committed to working alongside you to build a stronger, more connected racing community where everyone feels safe and supported.
LivingWorks ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day, interactive workshop that equips you with practical skills to support your colleagues, friends, and family when they need it most.
Our first session will take place in July 2025
What you’ll learn:
-
- Recognise when someone might be struggling with thoughts of suicide.
- Have calm, confident conversations to offer support and hope.
- Develop a safety plan and connect the person to professional help and resources.
This training does not teach you to be a counsellor, but it will give you the confidence and skills to have meaningful conversations and be part of the bridge to the help someone needs.
How it strengthens our community:
-
- By empowering participants, LivingWorks ASIST fosters a culture of care and support within racing.
- Those who complete the training will join OnTrack’s network, and we will ensure you have the support and resources to help you stay confident in their role.
- Together, we are creating a community where we look out for each other, strengthening the ties that make racing more than an industry, it’s a family.
Why are we introducing LivingWorks ASIST?
-
- The programme is trusted worldwide, endorsed by the World Health Organisation and backed by the 40 years of evidence and research.
- It is guided by expert trainers in a safe and supportive environment.
- It’s proven to build confidence, readiness, and the ability to provide meaningful support.
By taking part in LivingWorks ASIST, you’ll not only gain valuable skills, but also play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our racing community. With OnTrack’s continued support, you’ll be part of a safety network dedicated to making a real difference.
